Stephanie Weaver, a Registered Nurse (RN) by trade, has been a Practical Nursing Instructor at the GACTC since 2021. She joined our program after working in the medical field her entire adult life, specializing in general medical surgery and in-patient rehabilitation. GACTC Practical Nursing graduates have success with licensure exam
The Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center (GACTC) Practical Nursing program achieved a 94.87% pass rate of graduates which completed the national licensure exam (NCLEX-PN) during the period of October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023. In a night of recognition and celebration, the GACTC proudly welcomed 70 outstanding students into the prestigious National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) during a banquet held on November 16th. GACTC adds adult dental assistant program
The GACTC continues to respond to the needs of area students and employers by adding new adult education programs. Today the school announced a new dental assistant program for the 2024-2025 academic year as part of their adult education programming.
