The GACTC schedules Open House for Dec. 6

The GACTC is welcoming potential students, their families, and members of the public to an Open House on Tues., Dec. 6 from 5:00-7:00 pm! Instructors will be on hand to discuss our more than 25 programs for high school and adult learners. Adults will have the opportunity to discuss financial aid options with administrators, too. Welcome!

GACTC holds graduation events for practical nurses

The GACTC graduated 63 students, both full-time and part-time, from the Practical Nursing program on August 18, 2022. Graduation activities including a pinning ceremony and graduation, which was held at the Altoona Area High School. Adult students in healthcare fields graduate from the GACTC on August 4

Thirteen adult students graduated from the Medical Assistant, Medical Office Specialist, and Expanded Function Dental Assistant diploma programs at the Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center (GACTC) on August 4. The students earned more than $114,000 in grant funding to complete their programs.
