Interested candidates should be excited to work alongside GACTC’s instructional staff to share their knowledge of the functions and skills of an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA). In this part-time position, the individual will demonstrate knowledge of safe work practices in the dental setting and be able to perform and teach the functions of an EFDA. Responsibilities include assisting in student supervision, ensuring safe operation of equipment, and reinforcing the instructor’s lessons. The schedule of the part-time EFDA program is typically 12 consecutive Saturdays from 11:30 am to 6 pm, although the hours may vary. The position requires a current EFDA license in Pennsylvania and at least 2 years of experience as an EFDA. This is a part-time, as needed, hourly position.

The individual chosen will be responsible for didactic and clinical instruction. Excellent communication skills are necessary. Current PA RN licensure required. BSN preferred or enrollment in BSN program will be required. Maternal/child experience preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience.
