The power sports industry is looking for technicians to repair utility vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, and motorcycles. Qualified and certified Powersports and Equipment Technology technicians have been in demand since the 1990s. The increased use of diesel engines over the past decade has further increased the need for qualified technicians who possess an understanding of engine technology. The Powersports & Equipment Technology program at the GACTC is a three year program that offers training in both gas and diesel engine repair. The mechanical skills learned can be utilized and transferred among a variety of career paths in the industry.
