The Digital Communications program prepares students to apply knowledge and skills in the field of multimedia technology.

GET THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO SHINE

Instruction in this program includes, but is not limited to, audio/visual technology, troubleshooting techniques, computer operation and maintenance, data transmission and management, oral and written communication, concept development, layout and design, computer graphics, image capture, audio, video web related technologies and animation.

Possible careers may include: photographer, videographer, multimedia producer, multimedia journalist, multimedia designer, video editing/motion graphics design, multimedia designer and illustrator creator, graphic/web designer, or production designer.

STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO:

  • Be self-motivated and have a good work ethic
  • Be creative and willing to put effort into the creative process
  • Possess good organizational skills
  • Be able to work independently or with others
  • Focus on computer tasks for long periods of time
